Hi everyone, we have begun development updates to provide additional functionality to better track a student’s legal name when they identify with another name. An identity tab will be available within the Student profile where a student’s legal name information can be maintained and pulled from for state reporting needs. This will then allow the preferred name to be entered as the student’s profile name and be represented throughout the system. We will also be looking to provide options on report cards and transcripts to designate which name you’d like to print.
Thank you for the continued feedback and support of this idea!

It is my understanding that the Student Profile name should be the Legal Name (for a number of valid reasons). If you start allowing the Student Profile name to be used as the "preferred name" for one category of students, then you open the door for any student to have their preferred name entered there. There has got to be a better way to resolve this issue that does not create a potentially bigger mess.
I fully support this idea. Right now, I can set "Default" ELPs for each entity (and district), but when a teacher adds an event, they cannot simply choose to use the default ELP, they must "Add" their own (which uses the default "levels") and enter their own "Low Score" - They cannot simply use the default Low Scores (see attached picture)
We want to establish some consistency in the school with ELPs, so the ability for a teacher to use the default ELP (along with the default Low Scores) without having to manually set up the Low Scores themselves is important
