Mass set note filter
We’ve researched this issue, and it turns out that the system is functioning properly. We’ve tested, and users at the middle school (and elementary school) do have access to see the legal notes. However, the list of notes is filtered by date, and the user must update the “Filter Options” to see notes since a specified date. If the filtering date is not far enough back, then older notes are not shown. We’ve confirmed with Skyward Support that there is no “rolling forward” process for notes from year to year or campus to campus. They are tied to the student. There is only the filter on the view that can be updated by the user.
Here is what we are asking from the scenario above.
We would love to have some of these options:
• Allow for a “no filter” option for the notes screen.
• Allow us to set a default filter (or “no filter” as default) for all users.
• If we could set a “no filter” default, then allow us to prevent users from changing the filter after we set that default.
• Have an indication on the notes screen of how many notes are not displayed due to the current filter settings.
