I need a feature to prevent grade override within the gradebook similar to that of term grades that I am able to manually lock for new
Please reference my prior service call 5219641. Since we utilize cumulative grading, we cannot implement a starting term grade and would ideally use option 5 to submit transfer in grades for a new student. Unfortunately, those grades are not locked and our Schoology platform which is utilized by teachers overrides any existing grades entered with any sync activity. As a result, those assignments are automatically defaulted and converted to a no count with no grading. Since teachers often use both platforms, simply making an adjustment to one or the other is not realistic. Teachers would be required to convert and enter grades based upon percentage calculations to both entities. We can't add a ghost grade without converting all category points to date individually for the new entry and converting percentage to a numeric value. This could essentially require daily calculations and manual entries that are rather unreasonable expectations, particularly in times of high transitions. I would appreciate further assistance as this is critical to student and district interest.
Additionally, when these issues arise and are driven by a service call, it would be far more efficient and far less frustrating to streamline this process without having to initiate and repeat the concern. I believe if the rep found a situation unresolved and worthy of further inquiry a portal for forwarding these cases from the SKYWARD end would be far more appropriate.
