Diabetes Care Log needs additional BG fields
The diabetes care log only has one field for blood glucose (BG) results and one field for Carb Intake. For scheduled diabetes care this is sufficient; however frequently students have non-scheduled care due to high or low blood glucose. When this occurs blood glucose is tested a minimum of 2 times during one clinic visit and when a student has low BG carbs may be given more than one for treatment (every 15 minutes if BG remains low).
Right now you can only enter one BG or Carb Intake or Ketones Results in the fields allowed then additional BG results in the Notes. It would improve accurate documentation if these fields were similar to vital signs fields with a Time field plus BG field Carb Intake fields and Ketones Results field so the user could add as many entries as needed for the single clinic visit/health care episode.
Accurate documentation of diabetes care reflective of current with how diabetes is medically managed. This would also assure full consistent and accurate documentation.
