  2. Ability to mass change expiration dates for certif

    MDE (MN Dept of Education) is upgrading to a tiered licensing system. To achieve this they will be extending all existing teacher licenses by one year from their current expiration date. All licenses expiring 6/30/18 will be extended to 6/30/19. Similarly 19 will go to 20 20 will go to 21 21 will go to 22 and 22 will go to 23. If not able to mass change it will require all schools in MN to manually update the expiration date of all teachers. This will increase the possibility of errors in the future.

    We’ve researched this request and current SMS 2.0 functionality and we suggest trying this instead:

    Create a Data Mining Report from Human Resources > Employee> Data Mining to pull certification information. You can export the Data Mining Report to an excel spreadsheet to mass update expiration dates.

    Then, navigate to Human Resources > Employee > Product Setup> Utilities > Certifications Import. You can re-import the Data Mining spreadsheet with all the updated certification expiration dates.

    Please be sure to verify the Expiration Date is not checked for the Creation Criteria on the import. This process will allow you to mass update all certification expiration dates.

  3. Add a custom browse view for assignments

    There are currently on 2 views that we use staff payroll and staff assignments. We would like to create a custom view because there are fields in each one that are unique. We would like to see all the fields in both available for a custom view and we can filter on. Also we need to see more then just 2 accounts. We would dump this report to excel and all the account codes could show then for us.

  4. Notes' option in profile needs reporting options

    I use the Notes option in both Web and PaC profile to record any payroll changes that need to occur. There are hree issues with this:

    1. Program does not allow me record the date as of when I need to make the change.

    2. When reporting on these notes it sorts by 'Create Date' rather than the date I need to make the change.

    3. Options need to be added to sort the notes by Occurrence Date or Implementation Date rather than by Create Date.

    4. The option would be more functional if user could define to report in 'Expected Date' or 'Implementation…

    Create a Custom Form for Note by individual. If you make it as a multi form, you could add more as needed for history or you could use a single form and remove after they have updated what they needed. You are able to include an “Implementation Date” (WH\EP\PS\CF\CF\MS)

    Next, create a Data Mining Report. You will be able to run the report by “Implementation Date” and see the notes associated.

  5. Calendar Codes need to include 1/2 days

    When setting up calendars for employees we need to be able to enter a 1/2 work day for employees. Currently the system only recognizes full days. We use Employee Management and if I put in all the 1/2 days as full days Employee Management does not calculate the salary correctly (because the day count is over stated). The True Time schedule is able to recognize a half day so when an employee puts in a 1/2 sick day on a true 1/2 day it should show the sick hours correctly but it does not because it is showing a full…

  6. EXPORT TO EXCEL DATE NEEDED

    It would be nice if there was a date you could enter when looking at history to only export from that date forward. This is available on a lot of the screens in PAC where the export to excel option is.

    This would save time waiting on years of data exporting.

  7. Multiple building fields on Personnel tab

    It would be very helpful to show all buildings if an employee actually works at more than one location on the Personnel tab. If we had a primary building and alternate buildings showing it would be great to have these new fields available in Data Mining. Users now run building reports in DM but the employee may not be on their list since it does not appear in Personnel as the "main" building so the report is not accurate.     Thank you for submitting and voting on this Idea. We’ve spent some time here at Skyward doing research for this request and have determined after a thorough analysis that we will not be pursing this development.

    We discovered, that if we add multiple buildings to the employee profile, this change would create large ramifications. Building is found in many places throughout the system and the effort, impact and risk to update is not something we will be able to address at this time.

    We recommend using Employee Management Data Mining to report on Employees and all their Assigned Buildings.

    In Data Mining use Assignment as the Driver Table, In Field Areas select Position, and under Position select Position Building Code, Position Building state, and Position Building Desc. To report on all buildings associated with an Employee.

  8. Edit the default flag on Employee Assignment

    In discussing an issue in automating Active Directory record creation from Skyward the problem of staff assigned to multiple schools was identified. As Active Directory should only have a single record for a user a way to select the correct record of the multiple assignments that a staff member user could have in a year is needed. One suggestion was to make the current HPMASN-ASSIGNMENTS.HPMASN-PRIMARY-X field accessible in the UI so Personnel could make this determination of the primary 'home' assignment in these cases.   9. Staff assignment screen - View Add on button

    1) When you view a staff assignment we need a View button on the Add-on screen that will open up the Add-on maintenance window. Currently there is no View button available. In order to view the information we have to go through Edit Staff Assignment and then Edit the Add-ons.

    2) On the Add-on screen the Amount we see is the Calculated/Add-on amount - a prorated amount based on Calculated FTE. When we make assignment changes we need to be able to see the actual add-on salary amount. If one were to inadvertently use this value on a new assignment…
