Have the ability to print my check stubs in Alphabetical order.
I would like to have the ability to print my direct deposit pay check stubs in alphabetical order. At this time, they will only print in order of check location. I am surprised that this is not an option. Thank you for your consideration.

Tie 403B Roth and Pre-Tax Deduction Amounts and Percentages Together
Our District allows staff to make pre-tax and post tax contributions to their 403B account. These are currently separate codes with their own contribution limit. However, in the real world, employees are allowed to contribute X amount/percent to each, but each counts toward ONE contribution limit. Our plan allows staff to make changes to their contributions anytime in the year, so the code-specific limits aren't doing us any good. It's not as simple as splitting the limit evenly between the two codes.

Inactivate Pay Codes
A way to inactivate old pay codes no longer in use, delete would be great but just inactive so they can't be chosen would be perfect.
10 votesWe suggest using the Pay Record Audit, which can inactivate pay records that do not fall in line with an entered control date. To access the Pay Record Audit, navigate to PaC, Human Resources, Payroll, Utilities, and Pay Record Audit.

PAYROLL AP - WIRE INVOICES
Instead of payroll producing one invoice for each deduction code, we need an option implemented to combine all payroll invoices for all codes into one invoice if they have the same vendor.
I think this could be done either with an option on the deduction code setup or even in the payroll general settings for Payroll Check options.
this would help reduce the number of wire transactions created since they are normally paid in one group and make reconciliation on the Checks easier for the business manager.

We suggest you try this:
In PaC, go to System Administration, Financial Management, Financial Management Config, Accounts Payable. Make sure the box “Combine Vendor For Wire Transfers” is checked.

Payroll Reports in Web need option to add the PAC reports
There are a lot of account distribution reports that we have set up in PAC and use every payroll but are not seeing those reports in Web. The only way it seems to add those reports is to add them manually. I understand there are additional options but could there be something set up to pull in those reports and just add the additional options that are needed.

Calculate retirement hours based on number of checks remaining
Currently an employee who joins us after the first payroll period applicable to their position the retirement hours on their pay code are populated based on the 20 or 24 checks. ie: employee works 90 days at 6 hpd=540 total hrs. The retirement hours on the pay code populates as 27 (divided by 20 checks) versus 54 based on 10 checks left.
I find that since the information we used to use to see the number of days on the position tab in PAC was removed (grrrr) we now have to go to WEB open that employee, choose assignment and…10 votesThank you for submitting this idea to the Ideas Portal.

Add the amount for 4c amount in the W4 information tab
In addition to ordering the steps 1-4b like someone else requested add the amount that is calculated for 4c to add the federal deduction amount right there. It makes sense to do all of that on the one screen since we may be adding other values there as well.

W-4 Step order
Change the screen for entering the 2020 W-4 information so the steps are shown in order. It currently shows step 3, 4a, 4b, nonresident, then step 2. When reviewing W-4 elections, a person looks from the top of the form to the bottom and fields for entering should be in the same order as the W-4 form.

What employees see when looking at Time Sheet History
An employee is questioning why his Double time hours were not showing on his time sheet history. The time sheet clearly shows that he should be paid for 7 hours of Double Time for hours worked on Sunday and 7.5 hours of half time that he worked on other days during the week. However, when he looks at his history of the time sheet (while it is waiting for payroll) it is only showing the time and 1/2 hours and not the double time. Ability to customize the email that gets sent to supervisors when employees submit their time sheet for approval so it would include link to log into Skyward.

Payroll Description on Pay Stub
Our district pays out Extra Duty pay 3 times each year (November, March, June) for coaching and advisors. There may be a staff person that has multiple positions to be paid Extra Duty pay. An example might be a Senior Class Advisor and Student Council Advisor. It would be very helpful if we could input additional descriptions while processing Payroll that would flow through to the check stub for each position they are being paid Extra Duty pay for. To take the example above, Pay Code EXP $200 with a check stub description of Senior Class Advisor, Pay Code EXP…

Don't allow payroll to be posted to a prior date
Currently payroll can post anything (PR, Corrections, Quick Voids, Etc.) to ANY date. Even if it is in a prior 6 month period. This really messes up our IN Form 9, our reimbursement requests, etc.. Instead of allowing them to just proceed through with a small warning, we should be able to set up an override by an administrator only if they want to post anything to a prior date.

To have the option in a pay code for OT to be Yes and Comp Time No.
I have more situations in which a primary code will earn comp time. Then an extra duty code will earn overtime. However in Skyward I do not have the option to pay overtime without the comp time being marked as Yes. I can not pay both overtime and comp time for the same pay code. I would like to have the option changed to Over time Yes and select Yes or No for Comp Time so that this will pull into worksheets correctly.

Need the History button turned into an audit report. Need the ability to list all changes to payroll records just like you can list changes from the vendor side.

Please put the view option back on the position tab for assignments!!
As a payroll specialist I was consistently/constantly using the Position View button to check information and to be able to answer questions for employees such as is there an add on to the pay base, what is the hourly rate, were the dates correct that were entered in Employee Management etc. The view tab was removed as it was considered an "enhancement" as it was moving all EM parts to the web but this is terrible for anyone in payroll. Please please please put it back until all of payroll is moved to the Web.

We definitely could have gotten in front of this better that these buttons were going to be taken away and we will make sure next time we decide to take any buttons away for data integrity and efficiency, we will make sure we inform our valued customers way ahead of time.
The reason we committed to this enhancement is because Employee Management is no longer supported in PaC. The system did not handle the new salary calculation method and new scenarios correctly such as additional pay codes and add-ons, which ultimately could have shown inaccurate data for employees.
There are many efficiencies to using the web. Example: currently if you are running payroll or running a report and want to look at assignment information in PaC you would have to back all the way out of what you were doing to go to…

view assignment detail in PaC (again)
We used to be able to go into the profile of an employee, on the position tab and view the assignment detail. It is no longer an option. With payroll being on the PaC side, it would be nice to still have the option to view the assignment information and not have to go into the web side to view. Doing payroll, I am very rarely in the web side.
