Untie link from Inactive Employee to SMS
With a merged DB. When an employee is entered into the HR side they are forever unable to make changes to the record when they are also in the SM side (it says they are an employee and changes need to be made on that side). Even when the employee is inactive and has not worked her for years. That make it a problem when we add that person as an emergency contact or parent grandparent for phone and address changes. Clone Substitute as part of Time Off Trans Clone
It would be great to have the option of cloning the Substitute as part of the Time Off transaction clone process. I most often use the clone process for FMLA or long-term situations and many times the substitute is the same for the whole period. As it is right now I can clone the time off but then have to edit each transaction any way to update the sub field. Allow Req Changes for Emails 1 2 3 and 4
Allow users to enter personal email address for emails 2 3 and 4 for notifications. Information could then be exported/imported to a third party software. Employees are entering and maintaining their information in one system Skyward. Office staff is not manually updating the information in Skyward and then exporting to 3rd party. Saves District staff time in maintaining this information. Add Email 1 2 3 and 4 with the ability to select if employee can change using auto-approve approval needed read only or hide - just like Phone 1 2 and 3 fields.

Employees need to identify type of phone and email
Employees need to be able to identify which type of phone and email each one is. Currently they can’t identify any phone number and only emails 2-4 can be identified via employee access. On the HR side I can however identify phone 2 and 3 but not one. Our request would be that via employee access they can identify all phone numbers and email addresses. Garnishment calculation
US Department of Education calculates disposable earnings as Gross less taxes less health insurance less WRS pension. Also has a base minimum poverty earnings that excludes the deduction is earnings are too low. Skyward only has the standard disposable calculation of Gross less taxes. Negative impact: Federal Law failure to comply with correct calculation. Add another disposable calculation option that follow the US Dept of Education calculation that also includes the option of minimum earnings by employee.

Mass Process for Changing check and building locat
Starting a new school year we have a lot of changes between campuses it would be nice to have a mass process to change check locations and building locations. Also for summer assignments we had everyone clock in under True Time so their check location was changed for the summer assignment a mass process would allow us to change them back to their primary assignment. Having a mass process would be easier than changing each employee at the start of school when lots of changes are being made.

Covered individuals
For each employee I noticed that there is a box to say employee is a covered individual. Our district is self-insured so every covered individual must be reported. When you check the box the employee's information (name social and date of birth) does not automatically populate in the bottom. I had not added them manually in the bottom because a Skyward rep told me that the IRS will recognize the employee as covered because the box was checked. However the IRS does NOT accept the record and tells us that it is an error because the box is checked but…

Employee Profile Master
I would like there to be an option to only show active employees on PaC in the Search tab in the Employee Profile Master screen. It takes me a long time to get to my employees when I have to search and filter through the non active employees. I think you could create a button that shows active non active and both.

Reset all quick filter ranges with one click
I often use the quick filters for filtering data in my browse screens. Currently if I have multiple filters in place I must reset each one individually in order to clear all the filters. This is frustrating. I wish there was a one click option to clear all my quick filter ranges.

Auto update Digital Signature in Custom Forms
I would like to see a utility when setting up custom forms that would allow the Digital Signature/Letter Acceptance to auto update into the "Contract Signed" tab in the Employee Assignment.

FTP For fleid on Business
For student the FLEID export is in Fed/State and allows to FTP directly from there to DOE. In Business it is in Employee / Utilities but does not have the feature to FTP. That something that might be in the works? FTP to state on business like student

Add the word Allowances under the word Additional
Add the word Allowances under the word Additional in employee access w4 information Less confusion - When employees view this screen they are confused as they think this should show the additional contributions (made to state or Federal) and not additional state allowances.

Add comparative columns for amended budget
When I do an amended budget I am limited on comparative columns (customize column 1 and 2) that would be meaningful (see attached Word doc). I am only able to select data from the prior two years. For an amended budget the current year activity and budget would be much more meaningful and should be added as an option for an amended budget. The negative impact of not making the change is the frustration that the budget entry isn't meaningful for an amended budget. Background Check Section set to Confidential
We are adding the required Pre-Employment Affidavit to the Background Check Questions portion of our Fast Track Applications. In order for our district to be in compliance with Senate Bill 7 we would like to request for Skyward to add functionality for the Background Check Questions portion of the application to be confidential.

Manually Imput ACA Hours
Whenever adding dates the fields are cleared out each time. It would be nice if there was a "Save and Add Another" button that could be clicked when making multiple entries. With this feature the fields would stay populated with the previous data input. Then it would only be necessary to change the date and click "Save and Add Another". Most of the time the Pay Code and Hours are the same. This would be more efficient than inputting repetitive data over and over when multiple days of data need to be manually entered.

Expand New Hire Request Org Chart Functionality
New Hire request need to have conditional routing at different levels. Currently we are limited and do not have conditional routing and are requiring the use of filters and end users having to approve one below as opposed to the requests routing directing to their queue. The expected outcome is for anyone creating/approving a New Hire Requisition to have the ability to choose from a drop-down who to route the form to. Ability to mass change expiration dates for certif
MDE (MN Dept of Education) is upgrading to a tiered licensing system. To achieve this they will be extending all existing teacher licenses by one year from their current expiration date. All licenses expiring 6/30/18 will be extended to 6/30/19. Similarly 19 will go to 20 20 will go to 21 21 will go to 22 and 22 will go to 23. If not able to mass change it will require all schools in MN to manually update the expiration date of all teachers. This will increase the possibility of errors in the future.

We’ve researched this request and current SMS 2.0 functionality and we suggest trying this instead:
Create a Data Mining Report from Human Resources > Employee> Data Mining to pull certification information. You can export the Data Mining Report to an excel spreadsheet to mass update expiration dates.
Then, navigate to Human Resources > Employee > Product Setup> Utilities > Certifications Import. You can re-import the Data Mining spreadsheet with all the updated certification expiration dates.
Please be sure to verify the Expiration Date is not checked for the Creation Criteria on the import. This process will allow you to mass update all certification expiration dates.
