Cash Receipts Approval Process
We are a large district with numerous schools making bank deposits and submitting Cash Receipts in Account Management. Like Budget Transfers and Journal Entries, we would like to see an Approval process put in place so the finance office can review and verify the Cash Receipt transaction before posting it.

2. We don't have groups set up. We would have 2 to start with.
3. Approvals would be the same as they are for Journal Entries.
4. Yes - we would use something like this.
5. Yes - we would want the option to deny and allow the originator to edit and resubmit.
6. I would like an edit report that prints prior to posting so everything can be reviewed before posting. I would also like to choose the posting date just as we can currently do on invididual receipts. -

2. 25. However, Cash Receipt Groups doesn't appear to work like other Skyward Groups. Cash Receipt Groups only allows us to assign a range of receipt numbers for the users.
3. We would like to see it work like Budget Transfer and Journal Entries where we can give certain users access to submit and others to approve.
4. Not the way it is currently set up. There is nothing to indicate or "view" which Cash Receipt Group submitted the batches.
5. We would not use a reroute options but would expect a denial option to return the entry to the submitter.
6. Better data mining reporting. -

4. We could, that would be a simple way to do it.
5. I doubt we would need that feature for cash receipt approvals
6. email notifications would be nice, ability to add 2 levels of approvals, ability to see approvals in history for auditors, ability for approvers to edit the cash receipt batch

We are also in need of this process to help with the new conversion from using SBAA to all of our individual locations using Financial management for cash receipts. I would like to see this process work the same as a budget transfer or journal entry where the user would have the option to "Submit a Cash Receipt" rather than just add. We have 26 locations and a single deposit for any of them can include anywhere from 1 to 20 batches. So the need for the user to be able to enter multiple batches and then have the option to select all when submitting is a high priority. As it is right now, our users are leaving the cash receipts in a WIP status but there is no way for the financial office to know that they are done with all of their batches included in a particular deposit.

Our auditors would like all cash receipts to go through the approval process. Right now there is not an option for the approvals to work with cash receipts. We use the notes field but there is nothing to prevent cash receipts being updates without approval.
We'd like to have cash receipts set up just like JE's where it can be submitted and approved.
