Building School Psychologists and Special Education Case Managers need to notified when one of their students receives a disciplinary action, as they must closely monitor disciplinary incidents and complete a Manifestation Determination Review once a student reaches the applicable threshold. It would be extremely helpful to have an option within the discipline entry process that allows the administrator entering the incident to identify that the student receives Special Education services and select the student’s Case Manager and/or School Psychologist. Once selected, the system could automatically generate an email notification to those individuals when the disciplinary action is entered. This functionality would help ensure that the appropriate Special Education staff are notified promptly and provide a more efficient and reliable way to track disciplinary actions for students receiving Special Education services.
