Cash Receipts Approval Process
For large districts where there is segregation of the receipting process there needs to be an approval process in the system just as there is for journal entries to reduce the risk of incorrect information being posted into the system. Currently the work around is have one person enter the receipt and another person review it and actually doing the batch update. The batch update is the pseudo approval process.
For audit purposes you should be able to provide information to the auditor as to who entered it and who approved it. Just as the "Created by" name is listed on the view an "approved by" should show on both the CR history screen as well as the JE history screen. This info should also be available on a report of journal entries or cash receipts.
To provide for a streamline approval process and reduce the risk of incorrect information being posted into the system when there are limited number of users to approve information before it is actually posted. Also to provide better reporting on the approval history of the cash receipt.

In 2018 we completed a series of 16 projects to Enhanced Check Request Approvals.
The Check Request approval process was enhanced to use the new approval process and records of previously updated approval processes in Purchase order Requisitions and Expense Reimbursements. We also released Account Group Approvals in the first wave of released enhancements (05.18.06.00.00 6/14/18)
We added the ability to approve and reroute Cash Receipts. (05.18.06.00.09 8/30/18)
We added Auto Approvals. (05.18.06.00.10 9/13/18)
We added cash receipt approvals to mobile. (05.19.02.00.01 2/14/19)
