An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedYes, they need to be able to re-open the whole day the same way when they do a grade change request they can reopen the whole gradebook.

Thank you for submitting this idea to the Product Ideas Portal.
After some review, we have determined what we believe is causing Message Center email queues to error out due to attachment file sizes.
This is due to a user attaching more than one file to their email within Message Center with a total combined file size exceeding the allowed maximum for the district’s email client.
To help prevent this from happening, we will add the ability to set a maximum size limit for all attachments (“Total size limit for all Message Center Attachments for a given message”). This configuration will be located in the Maximum Attachment Size setup area (PS\SA\DM\DS).
Thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedKimberley - YES! Our teachers crashed Skyward email multiple times in the spring before we turned off attachments completely. We'd like to add it back but can't take the risk until this is fixed.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedGreg Green - this is my exact same workaround since nothing else seems to work correctly - filter on the date field on our main release/signatures form that is first in the process. This helps me avoid emailing people who have done everything but the "submit" button, but the whole process with workarounds and processing lists is time-intensive. I would like to just be able to set up a Family Access email reminder like all the others (low balance, grades, etc.)
An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedI'm already using the workarounds identified above - however, the list is never exactly accurate as I've described in my notes in the original request. In addition, I would prefer an automated email reminder under advanced features just like for low lunch balances, etc. so we can set it to run on a regular basis over the summer.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedJust came across another issue with this. We are trying to verify our industry-based certifications for Texas and can't do so with data mining. I know this is a new state reporting field this year but we should never have new state reporting fields released without an update to allow those fields to be pulled in data mining as well.
Menu path: Special Programs > Post Sec Cert
Mary Mitchem supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedFor Texas:
We can't data mine the new PEIMS intervention services indicator if we are using the RTI module. It's a nightmare pulling it the way we've been told to do it and I went around and around with state reporting about it in the fall last year. Here is my email to our project manager, our account manager, and the head of our student support at the service center about this issue, which as far as I know has never been resolved.Just following up on this issue and want to make you aware of what not having the RTI indicator visible and/or available in data mining has meant for our fall PEIMS submission.
We completed the submission today using the workaround suggested by state reporting to "create a data mining report in the RTI module" to verify our data.
The data mining report was used by all campuses to verify their data, however, because they were not using the actual PEIMS ISI indicator in this process, we did not catch or correct a settings issue that was not reporting all of the students to PEIMS.
With the submission we finalized this morning, we ended up reporting only 9 out of 250+ students at one campus to PEIMS. The campus had been verifying the 250+ student list in data mining so no one caught the issue during the data verification process. There are hundreds of other students at other campuses that were also not reported correctly, but they were on the data mining report our campuses "verified."
We have GOT to have a fix for this issue from state reporting. I was in a meeting this morning where we had discussions about our current RTI software and if this is not resolved this month, I will recommend that they look at third-party solutions outside of Skyward for this module so that we can have the correct Intervention Services indicator displayed and the data mining option we would have if we were not using the RTI module in Skyward.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedYep. Here is my task list every year: Hide endorsements, academic history, course requests, graduation requirements, career plan. We've found all of these are back-door ways into the schedule.
Then go back and unhide when school starts all over again.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedSuper, super annoying and our registrars complain about it every time we do online registration. PLEASE LET US AUTO-APPROVE PHONE NUMBERS! We don't care if they're updated online.

Thank you all for the comments and ideas! I hate to be the bearer of bad news. Upon further technical review, it has been decided we will not be moving forward with this request at this time due to the differences in records and complexity of screen and Health Condition specific security.
Please continue to contribute your ideas — they push us to innovate, problem solve, and really understand your needs.
Thank you!

An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedMandy, I just went into add this same request and saw this has been sitting out here now for over three years. I can't believe there's still not a utility for this. We also need to be able to mass-add the multidisciplinary endorsement for any students who do not have one declared yet.
I've been given the Skybuild import as a workaround but really think Skyward should have a utility for this. I'm going to have to figure out how to extract only students without an endorsement and then re-import them with an endorsement and that seems crazy.

Inquiring with our State and Federal Compliance team about this request.
An error occurred while saving the comment Mary Mitchem commentedDeVaughn, our last BIL/ESL director was floored by this issue and they spent all last year cleaning up records that got skipped. When the same thing happened again this year (because they had updated the records manually last year), we knew we had to take a stand. I can't make our staff keep repeating this process every year. This has got to work correctly.

YES! If the teacher could mass-update or set their default this would actually be perfect. Some teachers have a mix, some have all remote learners, and some have all in person. We would love for them to have an easier way to take attendance.
