  1. JE approval path streamlined

    Would like to have a journal entry approval path alternative for established dollar amount thresholds or for certain types of JE's.

    For example maybe entries over $50K go to the CFO rather than a Director,etc..
    Also would like to be able to see who prepared and reveiwed the JE on the screen or when printed for audit purposes.

    If you haven’t already tried the approve and reroute option, that might meet your needs:

    There is not a way to have conditional approval for Journal Entries in the way described in the question. What can be done, however, is that the Journal Entry setup can be done in such a way so as to allow rerouting approval to another user.

    When this option is turned on, Journal Entry approvers will be able to approve the journal entry and then send it to another User for approval.

    This User must be an approver in another Journal Entry Group.

  2. In the Invoice Entry area of Skyward Finance, it would be helpful to be able to change Check Layout at any point during the Invoice Entry pr

    When entering Invoices into Skyward Finance, it would be nice to be able to change the Check Format at any point during the Invoice Entry process. The way it's set up now, the option to change Check Layout grays out and becomes unavailable after the Invoice Amount is entered.

  3. Add confirmation email "reply to" option

    From within Online Forms a custom email can be sent after completion of the online form. We would like the ability to enter a "reply to" or "from" email address for this message. Currently the reply-to email is the default reply-to email for the entire system which in our case is HR/Finance and Student. We typically have the default set up as a noreply email but we want the Online Form confirmation email to have a valid reply-to email when we use Online Forms for our insurance Open Enrollment process.     We need some clarification on your current process.

    Are you processing Open Enrollment outside of Skyward? We ask because Online Forms is not what is used for Open Enrollment in Skyward. Custom Forms are used for Open Enrollment and we currently don’t have an Email option linked with Custom Forms.

  4. Adding paycode - Add to True time message

    When adding a new paycode it would be nice to have an option to say yes/no to adding the paycode to True Time at that point. Time saving. Many times I may be mass adding a paycode for payment of a one-time thing - if I don't remember to also turn it off in True Time I end up with many confused employees wondering why they have a new option when they punch in. More often than not it won't be related to True Time and I'd like to choose that right away.

  6. Add option to mass change pay code for full week

    When an employee has a pay code change in profile and true time right now a supervisor must go in and edit each individual clock entry each day on the employee's unsubmitted time sheet.
    I would like to see a utility that can mass change the pay code for the entire week. Or have a utility that you can select FROM date x TO date x and mass change all transactions in between.

    If anyone needs further explanations I've attached some screen shots of the pages showing the only way to edit a pay code in TT.

  7. Allow Req Changes for Emails 1 2 3 and 4

    Allow users to enter personal email address for emails 2 3 and 4 for notifications. Information could then be exported/imported to a third party software. Employees are entering and maintaining their information in one system Skyward. Office staff is not manually updating the information in Skyward and then exporting to 3rd party. Saves District staff time in maintaining this information. Add Email 1 2 3 and 4 with the ability to select if employee can change using auto-approve approval needed read only or hide - just like Phone 1 2 and 3 fields.

  8. retirement hours not populating

    When running a retirement report in data mining the 1/1/-6/30 hours are not populating. The monies come in and the year to date hours and monies come in but not the other hours needed. This causes us to have to run 2 reports for the end of the year retirement reporting to be able to get those hours.

  9. Budgeting on the Web and E-Commerce

    Our district creates the next year's budget by having the teachers enter budget requests through BOTW. We've also started using e-commerce ordering which has been tremendously helpful. However BOTW and E-commerce don't currently talk to each other so our schools have to re-enter the order information that the teachers have already entered. We would like to be able to spin a Purchase Requisition off a Budget Request in E-Commerce like we can through traditional order entry.   10. Allow Asset Code in Import for Credit Cards

    When we upload an asset code to the import for our credit card file it will not accept the asset code. After talking to Skyward customer service they stated that I would have to submit a Enhancement request because they system will not allow asset codes in the import. We would be able to upload 01 A 131 00 in our credit card imports. Allow asset liability and equity codes to be uploaded in the credit card import process.

  12. Add a custom browse view for assignments

    There are currently on 2 views that we use staff payroll and staff assignments. We would like to create a custom view because there are fields in each one that are unique. We would like to see all the fields in both available for a custom view and we can filter on. Also we need to see more then just 2 accounts. We would dump this report to excel and all the account codes could show then for us.

  13. Auto Populate Due Date when Invoice Date Changes

    Currently users must first enter the Invoice Date and then the Vendor. After the Vendor is entered the Due Date updates. If the Vendor is chosen first then the Invoice Date the Invoice Due Date does not update to the Due Date per the terms on the Vendor Card. Users should be able to choose the Vendor then populate the Invoice Date and then the Due Date should auto update based on the Vendor Terms.

  14. Adding more space to assignment code field

    We are needing additional space for assignment codes. As our district grows we create more specialized assignments that need to be readily identifiable from other assignments by name. (Ticket submitted 3697953) and was told this is not a field that we can set the length. Surely this is something that should be determined and set by a district. By making the field district set the district would be free to follow their own naming convention and be more specific as more specialized assignments are need to be created.

  15. Need ability to set security on form in Profile

    We need an option to set security on an advanced custom form so only specific security groups can see/edit the form in employee profile but still allowing the employees that fall within the selection parameters for that online form to be able to edit the form. Currently when a custom form is secured it becomes read only for employee access users in the online forms workflow. Secure Custom Form in profile but still allow employees in online forms parameters to edit the form.

  17. Add Alert for PD requests pending approval

    I think I may have asked this before but another supervisor has requested that I ask Skyward to add this feature. Professional development requests awaiting supervisor approval do create an email that alerts the supervisor of the request. However the alert feature within Skyward does not include those pending PD requests. I just found two PD requests over a year old that were waiting approval from the supervisor. The supervisor was unaware they were there because the onscreen alert (the yellow ball that indicates time sheets time off requests or requisitions requiring approval) doesn't include PD requests.

  18. Physical Inv. Report

    We need a Class code to be added to The Physical Inv. Report. We would also like an Exclude button this would be MOST HELPFUL to Exclude a "Dept." or "Class" code. We have many departments that do not need to see all Class items. For example technology want to see C - Computers not everything else. Buildings & Grounds only want to see B&E Buildings and Equipment. For large districts this sorting feature is extremely important please make every attempt to add this feature we have gone to long with out it.

  19. Custom Audit Better Unemploy Comp Program Report

    Attached is a copy of the report form that is needed to submit to PSBA. We currently are running this report in Microsoft Access and this process requires many steps to accomplish. Please note that a software competitor CSIU has created this report for their clients. This is displayed at the bottom of this form.
    Our hope is that this report can be processed within Skyward and any user with payroll permissions can run.

  20. Allow approvers to get notificaton of PO Overage

    Allowing an approver instead of the submitter of a purchase order to get notification that the PO went over. The negative impact would be that the person doing the budget has to go into each PO to see which ones are over.
