    Make the name of the payee on the check exactly match the vendor name in the positive pay file allowing the bank an extra safeguard against fraud.

  2. prior period adjustments

    Prior Period Adjustment Import WF\AM\GI\PY\PY--There is no ability to import prior period adjustments, just as there is in current year journal entries and cash receipts. This area of the software should have an import feature. I'm having to hand-enter a PPA that is several hundred lines, and the ability to import would have alleviated that.

  3. Increase Size or Font of Check Numbers (especially in the "cents" position)

    Our district has experienced an issue several times where the bank is misreading the "5" and "6" specifically in the cents position. We learned from Skyward support that we are not able to change the size or font on our end because it is hard coded into the system. Therefore, we are requesting that the font be modified somehow to make sure that there would be no issue for a bank to determine the numbers on the check.

  4. reminder to submit prior week timesheet

    when an employee logs in, Skyward needs to look to see if all timesheets from the prior week have been submitted. if not then needs to remind the employee to submit the prior weeks' timesheet.

    Thank you for submitting this Product Idea. The ability to notify employees of unsubmitted Timesheets was completed in 2020. You may have to update your submission options under the Maintain timekeeping Rules/ Timesheet Submission:


    With the 05.20.10.00.01 release available on 10/8/2020, notifications can be configured to display for Unsubmitted Time Sheets. The notification will be displayed as an alert in the header of the screen. The number of weeks to look back can also be configured. An option has been added to the Timekeeping Rule to display a notification to the employee when they have unsubmitted time sheets. Turn it on and enter a number of weeks.

  5. Unsubmitted Timesheet Report based on position start date

    The report parameter for this report should go off of the employee's assignment start date or the employee's schedule. Currently, if an employee has a start date of 10/13/2020, the report generates saying that there are unsubmitted timesheets for 8/3-10/11. It is very frustrating to weed through 50+ pages to determine what is truly unsubmitted and what was just before they were even to start work. Basically makes the report unusable. However, a report is needed. It just needs to go off the assignment start date or schedule.

    Hello! On the Unsubmitted timesheet report we added an option for Use Start Date or Check for Schedule. Both or none of the options will be able to be used. If you Use Start Date, you will be able to choose from Hire Date, Start Date or Current Position Start Date. It will also use Rehire if it exists compared to Hire Date and Start Date. This functionality will be available 05.22.06.00.09 (9/29) and 05.22.10.00.01 (10/06). Thank you and have a great day!

  6. SBAA - activity account report - prior years

    The month range for the activity account report should go back more than one year. The account ledger report and receipt/disbursement summary report both allow you to select previous years, but the activity account report does not. I'm frequently asked to run multiple years to compare the activity from year to year.

  7. Allow Truncated Social Security Numbers on Employee Copies of the W-2

    The IRS now allows truncating or masking of Social Security numbers on employee copies of the W-2. Since we have to mail many of our W-2's, having the SSN masked would greatly increase the security of the identity of our employees.

    Great news! This functionality became available on 12/08/2022 with the 05.22.10.00.06 addendum. 


     You now have the option to mask employee Social Security Numbers. This has been added to Step 4 of the W2 printing process. This option is available with the Standard Universal form and both Pressure seal forms.

  8. Cash Detail Report

    I need a report that will show a detail of all of the things that hit the cash account. For this I need it to be combined to include all funds. For example you have a deposit for $250 ($200 to fund 10 and $50 to fund 27). We need a report that will show you $250, the date, and the module it came from (AP, JE, etc), and a description. This would make reconciling the bank account much easier because it would show the actual amount that cleared the bank account instead of having to add up various funds…

  9. Add Comments to a Timesheet that is already in history

    Many times an adjustment is made
    AFTER the timesheet is in history due to mass processing. Can you add
    a comment section so we can add notes. (ie. if a timesheet is showing overtime, but it was really hours entered manually on a holiday in error. If we catch it, we won't pay the OT.) A comment section could reduce a lot of refiguring trying to figure out why the OT showing wasn't paid.

    I think this has come up several times over the years.

    In the Employee Profile, on the Unapproved Time Sheet tab, there is now an “Edit Note” button (WH\EP\TB\TT\UM). When “Edit Note” is selected, a maintenance page appears with the current note that is attached to the time sheet. The new note will appear in the browse details under “Time Sheet Information”. The old note should remain unchanged in “Time Sheet History”.

    In the Employee Profile, on the Time Sheet History tab, the “Edit Note” button and “Edit Note” link (under Time Sheet Information) will work the same as they do under the Unapproved Time Sheet tab (WH\EP\TB\TT\TH).

    In the Entry by Employees browse under True Time there should be a note and edit note link next to every time sheet that has been submitted. These links will work the same as the previous ones. It will only change the note for the time sheet in that row (WH\TT\TA\EM).

  10. Ecommerce Narrative

    The narratives do not go with eCommerce orders. We order live organisms from one of our vendors. The vendor we use would like for us to place a note on the narrative giving them instructions on the days to deliver live materials. Can we get an upgrade to include narratives on Ecommerce orders?

    The ability to add narrative lines to Ecommerce orders already exist in the system.

    Note: If the Ecommerce Order goes through several third parties or middle organizations the narrative lines can be dropped by those parties but if the Ecommerce order goes directly from Skyward to the vendor it carries over.

  11. Credit Card Approve Transactions - need a "View Only with Attachments" security configuration

    The Credit Cards > Approve Transactions screen does not have a security configuration that allows approvers to see attachments to the transaction without having edit access to the transaction. "CC AT View Only.png" shows 1,1 security access on WF\AP\CC\AT; there are no Notes or Attachment buttons despite the transaction having an attachment. "CC AT View Edit" shows 2,1 security access on WF\AP\CC\AT, attachments can be viewed but this configuration allows approvers to edit transactions that they are approving. Our district feels this would be an audit finding criticism; in our Credit Card approval hierarchy we want approvers to deny transactions…

    Previously, users with level 1 security did not have access to the Notes or Attachment options on the Credit Card Activity browse. The ability for Level 1 security users to view the notes and attachments became available on 2/18/2021 with the 05.21.02.00.02 – Feb 2021 Release PMP0 Addendum2.

    You must be on February addendum 2 or a more recent addendum release to access this functionality.

    My question is how can the view only security privileges to see attachments in SBAA? The view only privileges do not show an attachment button, on the receipts for example.

    The attachments screen in SBAA does not have its own security menu and is tied into the menu paths in SBAA. Because the attachments have to be added that is why they are programmed to only see the attachments button with level 3 access.

    Give notes and attachments in SBAA their own security menu path.

  13. SBAA Print checking

    SBAA checks for individuals currently print WITHOUT the middle initial even when a middle initial is in the vendor file set-up. We upload our SBAA checks to our bank for Positive Pay. The uploaded check register file (from Check Reconciliation) includes the middle initial. We then have to make a manual adjustment to the .csv file for bank upload. Could Skyward upgrade so that the checks for individuals print out with middle initial??

  15. Add Ability for Employee to Request Confidential Status for Email Address

    I am requesting that the ability for employees to request that their email be marked as 'Confidential' from within Employee Access be added.

    The expectation would be for this to function exactly as all of the other confidential requests function -- it would be just be an additional area to make the request.

    I have attached a mockup of how this could look.

    Hello! Good News – In Employee Access, employees will be able to request that their email addresses be marked as confidential. You will need to make sure you change your Request Change Setup settings under Employee Access Configurations to allow make changes to confidentiality flag for emails. You will be able to choose from Auto-Approve, Approval Needed, Read-Only or Hide. This functionality will be available on the 05.21.02.00.04 addendum release going out on 03/18/2021.   16. Expense reimbursement alert

    Would love it if the expense reimbursement waiting for my approval would show up on the Alerts box like the requisitions do. Our admin team are not savvy users and will have no idea where to go to approve these. Now I have to go in as supper user and set the widgets up for over 20 employees. When I add the widget, it shows up with the explanation mark like it should be showing up in the alerts box.

  17. Create Catalog Import Templates

    I would like the ability to create my own vendor import catalog template. We have various bulk supply bids for different types of commodities that we have for our district and I would like to be able to import these into skyward so our employees do not have to hand key the items every time they order. I would just enter them manually but we are looking at hundreds of items. It will help eliminate keying errors by our employees as well as speed up the process of entering requisition for the bulk supply orders. I have done an hour…

  18. Add an additional vendor line field to the check export

    We need an additional line added in the check export. The field already exists in Skyward. If the vendor has an additional line and this is included in the "pay to the order of" on the check it comes up as a payee discrepancy with the bank. The bank explained that banking institutions have increased positive pay measures for fraud and this additional information should be included on the export. Manually adjusting the export file and comparing to the vendor record is not a feasible solution.

    Starting with the 05.20.06.00.07 Addendum available on 9/3/2020, the vendor’s A/P Contact is now available as an export field for the bank check file (positive pay).

    If you want to include A/P Contact in your export, you will need to update the file definitions which are located in PaC, Check Reconciliation, press the ? Options button and select the ‘Export Checks to Bank File’ option. Press the Format button. On the Export Format Fields, press the Add button.

    Once A/P Contact is added to your file from PaC, you can run the export from PaC or the Web.

    Employee wellness screening report needs to have more filters. JOB CODE active employees or even by a processing list. Its too hard to see which active employees haven't done the screening.

    The Wellness Screening Report will be released with the 05.20.06.00.08 Addendum available on 9/17/2020.

    The Report ranges includes an Employee Selection Parameter screen. In that employee selection, you can filter by building, check location, or employee type under the “employee range.” Inactive Profiles can be included or excluded and you can also select individual employees if need be, or by processing list.

  20. Add Vendor as a field option on Invoice Import upload

    When creating an invoice import upload, it would be so helpful to be able to add multiple vendors at one time by entering them into a "vendor" field within the import file.
