Hi everyone, we have begun development updates to provide additional functionality to better track a student’s legal name when they identify with another name. An identity tab will be available within the Student profile where a student’s legal name information can be maintained and pulled from for state reporting needs. This will then allow the preferred name to be entered as the student’s profile name and be represented throughout the system. We will also be looking to provide options on report cards and transcripts to designate which name you’d like to print.

I absolutely agree on this, our district would benefit from an area that can easily be seen by all appropriate staff indicating the preferred gender and name with the legal name and gender still being viewed. Also when the gender identity is turned on and changed it changes it everywhere which is an issue as this is just a preference not legal change and should not be printed on transcripts, report cards etc.
