Hi everyone, we have begun development updates to provide additional functionality to better track a student’s legal name when they identify with another name. An identity tab will be available within the Student profile where a student’s legal name information can be maintained and pulled from for state reporting needs. This will then allow the preferred name to be entered as the student’s profile name and be represented throughout the system. We will also be looking to provide options on report cards and transcripts to designate which name you’d like to print.

We also see a need for this. We would like the preferred name to show in the attendance area as well. So that when we have substitutes they see the legal and preferred name without having to select "show preferred name" in the options area

I think you should add a preferred name in HR side. Make it available to Employee's to request change in Employee management.

Allow parents in family 2 the ability to change their information during online registration. Currently only family 1 can make changes.

We would like the preferred name to show in teachers gradebook when taking attendance. Currently we would have to educate sub's in choosing "show preferred name" in the attendance area. We would like this to be a default so that our transgender students or other students are not embarrassed if sub would use the legal name.
