Grade Posting Administration - Requesting Grade Changes
We are having an issue after grade changes are requested. We allow teachers to request grade changes after the grading period posting closes. As Skyward is set now, once the teacher requests the change, it automatically opens the closed grading period and allows the teacher to post their own grade change without waiting for admin review/approval.
This seems to be a new issue as we have not changed what we are doing but the way that Skyward manages the requests has changed.
If the district allows teachers to post their own grades, and an entity allows Grade Change Requests (which…

Need Select All for Assigning Students to Special Grade Mark Groups in Gradebook
We have specials teachers who have multiple gradebooks for K-6 students. They only give a Pass/Fail grade. In the Gradebook when you go to Grade Marks and select that group and click Assign Students there is no way to select all, you have to click each student individually to assign them. Please add a Select All option to this screen. Thank you.
3 votesGreat News! The option to allow teachers the ability to “Select All” when assigning special grade mark groups has been added to the system within the Feb Add 9 release. Thank you again for the votes.

Teacher requirement for online assignment answers
Teachers are able to create online assignments for students to complete. When setting up the online assignment and creating questions - teachers are not forced to enter answers for the questions.
If the assignment is set to auto grade, students will get the question that didn't have a selected answer marked as incorrect - no matter what they choose as an answer.
We need to have a safeguard in place forcing teachers to enter an answer for all questions on an online assignment.

Google Classroom Integration
Find a way to allow for "importing grades" from Google Classroom to Skyward. Integrate the systems through Google Classroom.
65 votesThe Google Classroom integration is live for SMS 2.0! This is based on the OneRoster 1.1 specifications and therefore will only work for Secondary Gradebooks (OneRoster 1.1 does not support standards grading at this time). A district will need to own the LMS/OneRoster API license in order to enable the grade passback components of the API. Please reach out to your district’s Account Manager to inquire about the license.

Ability to rename gradebooks or add "sub-description" in Educator Access Plus
In our elementary school it would be helpful for teachers to be able to rename or relabel or have a sub-description for their gradebooks that display in the Teacher Quick Access widget. We need them named a certain way for reporting, etc. but the teachers want to name them Class 1 Math, Class 2 Math, etc.
6 votesGood afternoon,
Thank you for your votes and comments. Skyward has just recently added the capability to set a “nickname” for teachers to change the display name for their classes. This will also effect the Teacher Quick Access Widget display. Thank you.

Student missing assignments
We would like to be able to print a report that only shows assignments that are marked as missing in the gradebook. Currently the Student assignment report is printing any assignment that is past due that does not have a grade. This is very important to the efficiency of our staff as they work with students who have missing assignments.
Please add the ability for us to only print assignments that have been marked as missing in the gradebook so that our reporting to study hall teachers is accurate.62 votesMorning,
The feature will be available within the next addendum. Thank you all again for your votes and comments.

student indicators on gradebook class list
Please consider adding student indicators on gradebook class list so teachers can see the indicators when their class is open. Currently they have to open each student individually to see the indicators. Too much work for the ones who choose to know that information.
38 votesAn option has been added to the system where teachers can now see indicators on their student through My Classes and My Students area. Thank you all again for the votes.
