1. Method of Instruction in Family Access

   Currently, in order for families to see their student's method of instruction in Family Access they need to be in the Student Info tab then click on Request Changes to (student name). Could this MOI information be brought to the first page of the student info area or perhaps somewhere more easily seen for the parent?

2. Confidentiality in Student Info tab

   When family 1 guardian logs in to Family Access under the "Student Info" tab can we eliminate the "other families" name from being visible to family 2? My concern is we enter foster home information for students who are in protective custody in family 1. We still enter the parent/guardian information in family 2 because they still have rights to the educational records per the law unless rights have been terminated. When I log in to Family Access as the guardian to a student who has been placed in protective custody the guardian sees the name of the person who the child is living with (foster home). This information should not be visible as the name of the foster placement is confidential. I am concerned we are in violation of the law. It's not hard to google a person by name and locate them.

   I would like to see the option to see "other families" info removed in Family Access and keep it limited to the guardian who is logging in. That guardian logging in should only see their information.

   Hi everyone, Great news, an option has been added to the Family Access District Display Settings called “Do Not Display Other Family Information.” With this option enabled, only the family information associated with the guardian who has logged in will display. The option will default to show the information of all the families associated with the student. This update was completed with PR 3694250 and went out with the October Addendum 4 release on 11/14/2019.

3. Configuration to force parents to eSign report car

   We are moving to online report cards and will be looking for reporting on which parents have viewed the online report cards. This will require us to see which parents have viewed/signed the report card and any further communication to those which have not.
   Currently the report cards allow you to click view report without eSigning the report card. The popup shows again but you can continue without forcing the eSign.

   We would like a configuration to force the parent to eSign prior to opening/viewing the online report card. We would like the View Report button to not be visible/enabled until a report card has been eSigned.

   Allowing parents to see the report card without eSigning can be seen as a false negative in the eSign reports that the parents are not looking / not being notified of the report cards. We want to accurately track and know which families receive and view online report cards.

   With the configuration to force the eSign on when a parent clicks any term where they have not eSigned the report card we get the same pop up with the eSign message about the report card. There will not be a link to say "View Report" until after the checkbox date and eSign information is present.

   Great news, PR 3665437 has been completed and the “Require Report Cards to be signed before they can be viewed” option has been added to require report cards to be electronically signed before the report card can be viewed. The option can be turned on in Student Management > Families > Family Access > Setup > Configuration > Entity Configuration; select Edit next to Report Cards. When a parent/guardian logs into Family Access and goes to the Portfolio tab and clicks on a report card, there will not be a separate View Report button and the report card must be signed before it can be viewed. The same will happen when logging into Mobile to view a report card with the option turned on. This was released with June Addendum 8 (8/16/18).

4. Diabetes Care Log - filter the view

   When parents are viewing the Diabetes Care Log it becomes very lengthy. It would be beneficial to have a filter of some sort that allows parents to view only the last week month year or all records. All columns are not visible without scrolling to to the right but the scroll bar is way at the bottom. We are just now turning this on so parents may not even realize a right/left scroll bar exists unless they scroll down.

   The outcome would make it easier for parents to view the data and to scroll down to other children in the family. Under Gradebook there is a display option that allows parents to choose the view. Something similar would be perfect.
