1. Updating outdated payroll reports

   The "individual reports" that can be printed with each payroll run under the Pre-Verify and Post-verify steps should be editable. Specifically, it's no longer considered best practice to print full social security numbers on paper documents, or save / email them unless they are kept secure. Printing, saving and/or accessing so many reports with personal information with every single payroll concerns me. For the safety of our staff, we having been transitioning all reporting to the employee ID number. Without a unique identifier that can be used across all reports, data extracts and manipulation for external reporting and/or budget and account reconciliations is extremely cumbersome and time-consuming. Whereas, if the payroll reports included employee ID that can be used as the reference key, a simple excel v-lookup turns a report into a dynamic database without compromising personal security. Why can we not edit these reports?

   Starting with the 05.20.06.00.07 addendum available on 9/3/2020, Name key was added as an option to the payroll report so users would have a different unique identifier other than SSN.

2. Need report showing timeclock exceptions

   I cannot create or find a report that supervisors can use to see if someone has clocked in either early or later than their scheduled start time. While I can find something that shows over or under for the week my supervisors need to be able to quickly look at their list of employees for punches that are outside the established grace period.
   Ease of reviewing time.

   Great News! In the 05.20.02.00.05 Release, Options have been added to the Exception report to check against scheduled start and stop times. These options will provide a user entered grace period and will report an exception when the employee is clocking in prior to or after their scheduled start and end times.

3. Data Mining Calculated Field and Add-ons Rate

   I've noticed that I'm not able to pull a report with the EE's calculated hourly rate. I get the hourly rate but all add-ons are annual amounts. We have to run reports periodically with the employee's rate of pay for unions and departments. Is there anyway to make programming changes so that the calculated rate comes through? It's not efficient to have look up each employee then manually piece a report together. Also the hourly add-on screen doesn't show the hourly rate for the add-on. Can this be added?

4. Report that can display balances on a range of per

   Currently there is the ability to report on a range of periods in the Revenue/Expenditure report area but there is not in the balance sheet area. You can get the information in the web chart of accounts but you can't run a report on it. We would like the ability to run a report from within the system to get this information without just viewing it only exporting to Excel or doing a print screen. See attached info from COA we wanting to view in the report as well as a screen shot of the range option available on Rev/Exp reporting.

   Great news!

   Budgetary Data Mining has added a new Balance Sheet field, and Ending Balance-Monthly Columns.
   This selection lists a separate column for each month starting at the beginning of the fiscal year to the reporting month.

   This update will be available starting with the 05.20.02.00.06 – Feb 2020 Release (4/16/2020).

5. Add Notes to Data Mining Reports

   As we create Data Mining reports over the years it is not always easy to determine what we were trying to accomplish with the report. I would like Skyward to add a notes field to the the Report Information Tab in Data Mining. (See attached suggested area screenshot). This section could be used to provide a description of the report; information on parameters that would need to be changed for other users cloning the report; and other potentially useful information.
   This would ease the process of creating Data Mining Reports and make existing reports more usable for the report creator or any others who wish to clone the report.

   As we create Data Mining reports over the years it is not always easy to determine what we were trying to accomplish with the report.    Great News! A Notes field is now available on Data Mining reports under the Report Information area. This will allow users the ability to enter free form comments about the functionality of the report. This functionality was included in PR 3239842 – October 2017 Addendum 0.
